Work experience

  • Summer semester 2024: Laboratory Internship at Experimental Soft Matter Physics Group

    Doing various projects with soft matter:

    • Testing a tutorial for the growth of Myxococcus Xanthus
  • From 2020 ongoing: Student representative at Faculty of Physics, University of Vienna, Vienna, AT

    Duties included until now:

    • Representation in committees and conferences
    • Tight cooperation with faculty staff, other student representatives from different institutions as well as other organizations.
    • International outreach and correspondence as the Austrian delegate for the International Association of Physics Students.
    • In the last few semesters I have concentrated on student counselling and the improvement of the first week programme for new students together with Prof. Hummer.
    • Advising students on all aspects of their studies
    • Taking responsibility for the digital infrastructure and changing it to fit our current needs.
    • Designing the new curriculum for the bachelor and master programme in physics together with the faculty staff and other student representatives.
  • From 2022 ongoing: Delegate for the Austrian Association of Physics Students at International Association of Physics Students (IAPS)

    Duties include:

    • Representation of the Austrian Physics Students in the International Association of Physics Students.
    • Tight cooperation with other national delegates and the IAPS EC.
    • International outreach and correspondence.
    • Participation in the IAPS General Meetings and other events, such as the IAPS Conference.
  • From 2024 ongoing: Chairperson of the Young Minds at Austrian Physical Society (ÖPG)

    Duties include:

    • Representation of the Austrian Physical Society in the International Association of Physics Students and to the student representatives of the Austrian universities.
    • Representation of the physics students in the Austrian Physical Society.
    • Organization of a topical session at the annual meeting of the Austrian Physical Society.
    • National outreach and correspondence.
    • Participation in the ÖPG General Meetings and other events, such as the ÖPG Conference.
    • Planning of outreach events and activities for physics students.
  • Winter 2023, 2024: Tutor for the course "Programming for Physicists" at University of Vienna, Vienna, AT

    Teaching students the basics of programming in Python and how to use it for solving problems in physics.
